Brno ovládne DIGIFEST - mezinárodní přehlídka filmů pro digitální planetária!

Celkem 26 hodin a 25 minut byste museli sedět v sále brněnského digitária, když se rozhodnete zhlédnout všech 66 pořadů vytvořených pro speciální formát digitálních planetárií. Do soutěžní přehlídky poslali výtvory tvůrci z patnácti zemí světa, ze kterých více než 150 diváků vybere ten nejlepší. To nejzajímavější z festivalu bude veřejnosti přístupné o víkendu 18. a 19. června.

Spatřit bude možné všechny tři vítězné snímky, stejně jako výběr z ostatních představení.  Co film, to dech beroucí audiovizuální zážitek, fantastický příběh ze světa, z nějž každou noc vidíme nad svými hlavami jen malou část. Všechny projekce jsou v původním znění v angličtině (bez titulků)! Vstupenky lze koupit na www.hvezdarna.cz/program.

14.00 The Accidental Astronauts: An Earth Sun Moon Adventure (USA)

In this live show, it’s the year 2096, and space tourism is available to everyone. “Space Express Tours,” the first tour company in deep space, offers a variety of adventures including its most popular, Destination Solar System. This out-of-this-world tour, departing from the Grainger Sky Theater, takes place on board the fastest ship in the Space Express fleet and the only vehicle equipped with Space Jump™ technology. In Destination Solar System, passengers will travel hundreds of millions of miles in just seconds on an adventure-filled tour led by Jesse, an enthusiastic, knowledgeable—but inexperienced—tour guide, and Max, a highly advanced, fully integrated onboard computer.  Tours of the hottest hot spots and the coldest, stormiest and most spectacular sights in the Solar System await curious space explorers of all ages.

16.00 Secret World of Moths (Finsko)
The Secret World of Moths is a magical journey to the world of moths. Using 3D X-ray tomography we shed light to their hidden macrocosm and explore their way of life in an unprecedented way. Geographically the film spans from the Arctic Circle to the Equator. Observing these two extreme environments helps us learn about and understand the diversity and complexity of their macroscopic world and our fragile existence on planet Earth.

17.00 Asteroid: Mission Extreme (USA)
Asteroid: Mission Extreme takes audiences on an epic journey to discover how asteroids are both a danger and an opportunity. The danger lies in the possibility of a cataclysmic collision with Earth; the opportunity is the fascinating idea that asteroids could be stepping stones to other worlds – veritable way stations in space – enabling us to cross the Solar System. Explore what it would take for astronauts to reach an asteroid and how such an adventure could benefit humankind.

18.00 Rosetta (Rusko, Ukrajina) 
Fulldome Film Society together with Kiev Planetarium and Atmasfera360 Center are proud to present the unique fulldome show dedicated to a breakthrough discovery and space mission to the core of the comet 67P. Join the comet discoverer Klim Churyumov in the story about the origins of the Solar System and life on Earth. Meet the challenges of a 10 year long mission with "Rosetta" spacecraft and the "Philae" lander. Become the first one to find oneself on the comet surface! Rosetta" fulldome show is distributed worldwide under a free license!

19.00 – 21.00 blok vítězných snímků
Tři snímky, které obdrží cenu ředitele Hvězdárny a planetária Brno, cenu diváků a cenu Best Educational Production sponsored by the IPS-Eugenides Foundation, budou známy až 17. června večer.

21.00 Phantom of the Universe: the Hunt for Dark Matter (USA)
Phantom of the Universe: The Hunt for Dark Matter will explore the pursuit of the most elusive substance in the universe: dark matter. We’ll marvel at its impact on everything from the largescale structure of the universe to the choreography of galaxies, to the nucleus of an atom. We’ll race alongside speeding protons in the LHC at CERN as they collide in visually stunning explosions of light and sound. Scientists all over the world will eye the afterglow in hopes of discovering the mysterious dark matter particle. The show will be offered to planetariums worldwide free of charge.

14.00 GALAXY KIDS: A Star With My Name (Jižní Korea)
Atla of the wants to discover his own star but it seems like it will never happen. After learning that all of his Galaxy Kids friends have discovered their own stars, Atla, jealous, heads out into space to find his own.

15.00 We are stars (Velká Británie)
We Are Stars. This 360° cross-platform experience will seek to answer some of the biggest questions of all time. What are we made of? Where did it all come from? The film explores the secrets of our cosmic chemistry, our explosive origins and connects life on Earth to the evolution of the Universe.

16.00 Life under the Artic Sky (Nizozemí)
“Life under the Arctic Sky” is a film about the Northern lights and the Sami people (the indigenous people of the Arctic). Highlights of the film are the Northern Lights, the Reindeer Migration and dogsledding trips. A total of 10 film trips and 105 days were made to the Arctic to capture the Northern Lights, the Sami's and their reindeer and the beautiful Arctic scenery.

17.00 Incoming! (USA)
Asteroids and comets have collided with our planet throughout its history, changing the course of life on Earth and shaping the world we know today. Incoming!, the latest original planetarium show from the California Academy of Sciences, explores the past, present, and future of our Solar System and the landmark discoveries scientists have made sending spacecrafts to visit tiny worlds. Cutting-edge visualizations will bring real-time data from current NASA missions to life while taking audiences on a ride through the dynamic story of our cosmic origins. Along the way, audiences will discover what these impacts from above can teach us – and how scientific advances may allow us to find and track cosmic threats before they reach planet Earth.

18.00 Edge of Darkness (USA)
Edge of Darkness features amazing scenes of places never before seen. It features a spectacular flight though the great cliffs on comet 67P, a close look at the fascinating bright "lights" on Ceres and the first ever close ups of dwarf binary planet Pluto/Charon and its moons.

21.00 Dragons (USA, Kanada)
Dragons: Real Myths and Unreal Creatures traces the legend of dragons through time, and across cultures and continents, exploring their connections to history, geography, paleontology, literature, art, national identity, and more. Dragons explores humankind's fascination with these fantastic creatures over thousands of years. Available in 2D and 3D.

IPS Fulldome Festival Brno 2016 organizuje Hvězdárna a planetárium Brno za pomoci International Planetarium Society (Mezinárodní společnost planetárií), která je přední světovou organizací sdružující planetária z celého světa. Na odborné části festivalu od 15. do 17. června budou uvedeny pořady z Austrálie, Brazílie, Číny, Francie, Japonska, Jižní Koreje, Německa, Nizozemí, Ruské federace, Spojených států Amerických, Španělska, Polska, Thajska, Ukrajiny a Velké Británie. Zastoupeny jsou všechny kontinenty – s výjimkou Antarktidy, kde ovšem není žádné planetárium ani produkční studio. Na závěr budou uděleny tři festivalové ceny: cena diváků, ředitele Hvězdárny a planetária Brno a cena IPS-Eugenides nadace za nejlepší vzdělávací dokument.

Odborná část i akce pro veřejnost během světového festivalu pořadů pro digitária jsou součástí programů tradičních zábavních a prezentačních festivalů Brno – město uprostřed Evropy a STAROBRNO IGNIS BRUNENSIS. Záštitu nad festivalem převzal primátor statutárního města Brna Petr Vokřál, generálním partnerem IPS Fulldome Festivalu Brno 2016 je společnost Nowatron Elektronik a Front Pictures Inc. Jiří Dušek

Jiří Dušek (* 11. srpna 1971, Sušice) je český astronom a astrofyzik, ředitel brněnské hvězdárny. V Brně žije od svých tří let. O astronomii se zajímal od dětství, což vyústilo ve studium astrofyziky na Přírodovědecké fakultě Masarykovy univerzity. Dlouhodobě působí na Hvězdárně a planetáriu Brno, jejímž ředitelem se stal v roce 2008. Je autorem populárně naučných programů, které jsou v planetáriu promítány veřejnosti, a také různých publikací z oblasti astronomie. Je po něm pojmenována planetka (14054) Dušek.

12. vesmírný týden 2024

Přehled událostí na obloze a v kosmonautice od 18. 3. do 24. 3. 2024. Měsíc po první čtvrti dorůstá k úplňku. Na večerní obloze je výrazný Jupiter a nízko nad obzorem i Merkur. Aktivita Slunce zůstávala nízká, ale to se o víkendu změnilo s natočením velkých skvrn z odvrácené polokoule. Kometa 12P/Pons-Brooks je nyní rušena září Měsíce. SpaceX povedla další test superrakety s lodí Starship a dosáhla mnoha úspěšných milníků. Startuje další kosmická loď Sojuz k ISS. Voyager 1 má stále problém, ale už se tuší, co vysílá. Před 275 lety se narodil francouzský matematik, fyzik a astronom Pierre-Simon Laplace. 20. března ve 4:06 začíná astronomické jaro.

Titul Česká astrofotografie měsíce za únor 2024 obdržel snímek „Kometa 12P/Pons-Brooks v souhvězdí Labutě“, jehož autorem je Jan Beránek.   Vlasatice, dnes jim říkáme komety, budily zejména ve středověku hrůzu a děs nejen mezi obyčejnými lidmi. Možná více se o ně zajímali panovníci.
